OUR  UNIQUE STORY 

John and Sue started their dream years ago... by planting veg in their garden in the heart of a large town.  They dreamt of owning a small holding.  Sue's family were farmers and fruit and veg sellers, John's history was an agricultural engineer.  Sue went off and become legally trained and worked in solicitors offices and John went off to be a HGV driver.  Their worlds collided and they married... they were not happy in the towns, they wanted freedom of land and a self sufficient life style they could not afford in the UK.  They jump head long and moved to Ireland 2004 and have not looked back since.  John now retired, tends the small holding daily, he is the brawn behind the small holding, daily fixing, making, mending, watering... Sue is still working full time self employed and also working the Farm Shop as a hobby - being the dream she always had... opening in that lock down of April 2020, then moving to new premises in 2023, The Shed (Ballagh Farm Shop) goes from strength to strength - living the dream as they say. A complete off grid Farm Shop open weekly on Saturdays.
